The Fifa World Ranking is a ranking system for men’s national teams in association football, currently led by Belgium. The teams of the member Nations of FIFA, are ranked based on their game results. The rankings were introduced in December 1992 when FIFA first published a listing in rank order of its member associations to provide a basis for comparison of the relative strengths of these teams.
The ranking system is updated every time either the World Cup, UEFA Euro or Copa America is played. The points are given depending on the Progress of each National Team along the tournament.
